Joint Order To Amend the Joint Rules To Require a Minimum Threshold To Admit Bills for the First Regular Session

the House concurring, that the Joint Rules be amended by amending Joint Rule 202 by adding at the end a new paragraph as follows:

Beginning with the First Regular Session of the 124th Legislature, and notwithstanding any rule of the Legislative Council, a bill or resolve proposed for introduction under the procedures established under this Joint Rule must be approved by a minimum of 3 members of the Legislative Council. The vote must be taken by the yeas and nays and must be recorded and made available for public inspection.
