An Act To Amend Maine's Endangered and Threatened Species List by Removing the Bald Eagle
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §12803, sub-§3, ¶U, as enacted by PL 2003, c. 573, §6 and affected by §8 and c. 655, Pt. C, §§3 and 6, is repealed.

This bill removes the bald eagle from the list of threatened species in the State. As provided in statute, the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife conducted public hearings regarding the recommendation to remove the bald eagle from the list of state endangered or state threatened species, having proposed that recommendation.
