Amend the resolve by inserting after the title and before section 1 the following:

‘Preamble. Whereas, Maine Central Institute is a college preparatory boarding and day school located in the Town of Pittsfield; and
Whereas, Maine Central Institute's student body currently represents 16 countries and 12 states; and
Whereas, Maine Central Institute is located 3 miles from Interstate 95, and increased visibility on the Interstate 95 corridor is critical to the ability of the public, as well as those members of the student body who are unfamiliar with the State, to identify and locate Maine Central Institute; now, therefore, be it’
Amend the resolve in section 1 in the 2nd line (page 1, line 2 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: "Transportation" the following: ', notwithstanding national guidelines relating to directional signs for highways,' and in the last line (page 1, line 4 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: "Pittsfield" the following: ', and Maine Central Institute shall assume any and all costs associated with the directional signs'
SUMMARY
This amendment adds a preamble to the resolve and provides that Maine Central Institute will assume all costs associated with the directional signs.
