Resolve, To Transfer the Ownership of the Fort Kent Armory from the Military Bureau to the University of Maine at Fort Kent

Sec. 1. Fort Kent Armory ownership transfer. Resolved: That, notwithstanding the requirement in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 37-B, section 264 that property must be sold for no less than its appraised value, the Adjutant General shall transfer the land and buildings constituting the Fort Kent Armory to the University of Maine at Fort Kent for the sum of $1 by means of a quitclaim deed, as long as the University of Maine at Fort Kent agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the State from all claims, including any environmental clean-up costs that may arise in connection with the land or the buildings constituting the armory.
