Amend the amendment in the 4th indented paragraph after the title in the last line (page 1, line 23 in amendment) by striking out the following: "January 15, 2011" and inserting the following: 'December 15, 2010'

Amend the amendment after the 4th indented paragraph after the title by inserting the following:

Amend the resolve by striking out all of section 5 (page 2, lines 1 to 7 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

‘Sec. 5. Report; legislation. Resolved: That, by December 15, 2010, the Department of Corrections shall report to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over juvenile justice issues progress on the implementation of this resolve. The Department of Corrections shall include with its progress report proposed legislation necessary to implement the initiatives. The joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over juvenile justice issues may submit a bill to the 125th Legislature based on the department's report by April 30, 2011.
