Amend the resolve in section 2 in the 3rd line (page 1, line 28 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "election officials" and inserting the following: 'governing bodies'

Amend the resolve in section 3 in the 2nd line (page 2, line 2 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "provided" and inserting the following: 'approved'

Amend the resolve in section 9 in the 4th line (page 2, line 36 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "2011" and inserting the following: '2012'

Amend the resolve in section 9 in the 5th line (page 2, line 37 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "Second Regular Session of the 125th" and inserting the following: 'First Regular Session of the 126th'

Summary

This amendment requires that the governing body of a municipality, not election officials, agree to participate in a ranked choice voting pilot project. It also provides that the Secretary of State need only approve rather than provide ballots for the pilot project and extends the report date to 2012.
