An Act To Enhance Safety at Construction Sites by Regulating Open Trenches
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 23 MRSA §3360-A, sub-§4-E is enacted to read:
4-E. Excavation safety. An excavator shall mark and erect a barrier or other safeguard around an unattended excavation to prevent a person, animal or motor vehicle from unintentionally falling into the excavation.
