An Act To Increase the Preservation Time for Municipal Campaign Finance Reports
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §2502, sub-§1, ¶B is enacted to read:
B. A municipality shall retain a campaign report filed with the municipality under this subsection for a period of not less than 12 years.

This bill requires that a municipality with a population of 15,000 or more must retain campaign reports filed by candidates in municipal elections in that municipality for a period of not less than 12 years.
