Resolve, To Return Two-thirds of the Purchase Cost of Sears Island to the People of Maine

Sec. 1. Rebate authorized. Resolved: That the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of Revenue Services shall rebate 2/3 of either the amount of state funds used to purchase 931 acres on Sears Island or the current market value of the 931-acre state-owned portion of Sears Island, whichever is higher, from the General Fund to taxpayers who are residents of the State.

SUMMARY

This resolve directs the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of Revenue Services to rebate 2/3 of either the amount of state funds used to purchase 931 acres on Sears Island or the current market value of the 931-acre state-owned portion of Sears Island, whichever is higher, to taxpayers who are residents of the State.
