Resolve, To Study and Develop a Tax Increment Financing Program To Fund the Washington County Development Authority
Sec. 1. Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of Revenue Services authorized to study a tax increment financing program for Washington County. Resolved: That the Director of the Bureau of Revenue Services within the Department of Administrative and Financial Services shall conduct a study to develop a tax increment financing proposal that will support the Washington County Development Authority’s economic development programs and projects; and be it further
Sec. 2. Reporting date established. Resolved: That the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of Revenue Services shall report its findings under section 1, including proposed legislation, to the Legislature and the Joint Standing Committee on Taxation by February 1, 2010. The Joint Standing Committee on Taxation is authorized to submit legislation that supports the Washington County Development Authority’s economic development programs to the Second Regular Session of the 124th Legislature.
