Fiscal Detail and Notes | ||||||
This amendment establishes an additional transfer of up to $10,000,000 to the Maine Budget Stabilization Fund from the uncommitted unappropriated surplus in the General Fund at the close of fiscal year 2007-08 prior to the transfer to MaineCare for hospital payments that preempt the normal year-end transfers pursuant to Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, c. 142 in fiscal year 2007-08. This transfer to the Maine Budget Stabilization Fund may increase the balance in the fund and may reduce the amounts that would have been transferred to the Medical Care - Payments to Provider, General Fund account, on a one-time basis, if the uncommitted surplus in the General Fund at the end of fiscal year 2007-08 exceeds the amount necessary to fund the higher priority year-end transfers. |
