Suspending the
provisions in Title 26, chapter 18 of the Maine Revised Statutes except for
those provisions that allow forest products harvesters and haulers to join
together and form an association to meet, confer and share information may
result in minor savings to the State Board of Arbitration and Conciliation
related to the rate determination process that may not be directly billable
to individual parties. The amount of
savings can not be determined at this time but is not expected to be
significant. |
|
The additional
costs associated with conducting a study of the statewide market for forest
products harvesting and hauling services can be absorbed by the Department of
the Attorney General utilizing existing budgeted resources. |
