This bill will
require an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation from the Maine
Environmental Protection Fund of the Department of Environmental Protection
of $97, 925 in fiscal year 2008-09, $99,532 in fiscal year 2009-10 and
$104,794 in fiscal year 2110-11. This
allocation will provide funds for an Environmental Specialist III position to
carry out the purposes of this bill..
Per a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maine Department of
Environmental Protection , the Maine Center for Disease Control and
Prevention will transfer sufficient funds from the Lead Poisoning Prevention
Fund for deposit in the Maine Environmental Protection Fund to cover the
costs associated with this position. |

Additional costs
to the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Health and
Human Services, the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the
Maine State Housing Authority associated with conducting the required review
and preparing the required report can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
