| This bill waives the gross vehicle weight violations between 100,000 and 105,000 pounds for 6-axle combination vehicles carrying forest products until April 1, 2008. This waiver will reduce the number of overweight truck violations and result in a reduction in Highway Fund fine revenue of approximately $1,000 in fiscal year 2007-08. Because the waiver will be in effect for only a short time the Department of Transportation does not expect the additional wear and tear on roads and bridges to be significant. | ||||||
