| Increasing the per diem for members of the Workers' Compensation Board from $100 per day to $200 per day will increase the personal services costs of the board beginning in fiscal year 2008-09. The amount will depend on the number of meetings held each year but will be double what would have been spent for per diem. However, based on actual per diem payments in fiscal years 2005-06 and 2006-07 of $14,000 and $11,800, respectively, it appears that the additional per diem costs can be absorbed within the existing budgeted resources of the Workers' Compensation Board. | ||||||
