|
This bill
authorizes a municipality to contract with a private entity to conduct water
sampling in areas closed to shellfish harvesting and to submit these results
to the Department of Marine Resources for review. The Department of Marine Resources will
require a General Fund appropriation of $141,592 in fiscal year 2008-09 to
create two positions to certify new private laboratories and review water
sampling results.
