	The general operating expenses of this commission are projected to be $735 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $2,955 in fiscal year 2008-09.  The Legislature's proposed budget includes $20,000 in  fiscal year 2008-09 for legislative studies.  Whether the amount is sufficient to fund all studies will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature.

	Additional costs to serve as ex officio voting members of the commission can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources by the Maine State Cultural Affairs Council for its chair and the Department of Administrative and Financial Services for its commissioner.
