Maintaining
an assessment at $360,000 per year multiplied by an inflation index until all
spent fuel is removed from the state will result in an increase in Other
Special Revenue Funds to the Public Advocate of $63,333 in fiscal year
2007-08 and $195,760 in fiscal year 2008-09.
This assumes the $360,000 is inflated by 1.6% each year and is
compared to baseline amounts of $296,667 in fiscal year 2008 and $170,000
each year thereafter. The Public
Advocate will also receive an additional assessment of $500,000 in fiscal
year 2007-08 and every 5 years thereafter on a licensee operating a spent
fuel storage facility to pay for the costs for required capital equipment. The Office of the Public Advocate requests
an additional allocation of $154,437 in fiscal year 2008-09 to allow
expenditure of the additional revenue for a Nuclear Safety Advisor. |
