Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
This amendment
retains the repeal of the Saving Offset Payment but eliminates the 1%
increase in the hospital assessment and a 1% health insurance carriers
assessment. |
The
amendment does not require a transfer from Dirigo to the MaineCare program
and the increased MaineCare allocations because the elimination of the
increase in the hospital assessment would not produce the increase in
MaineCare cost. |
The
amendment does not include the checkoff provision and therefore does not
require an Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $16,154 in fiscal year
2008-09 for Maine Revenue Services' administrative costs associated with the
Dirigo Health Enterprise Fund income tax check off. |
The remaining
fiscal impact of the bill as amended is as follows: |
