Adding detectives in the Office of the Attorney General on July 1, 2007 or hired thereafter to the 1998 Special Plan will increase the normal cost component of the employer retirement rate by .75% of payroll, from 5.75% to 6.50%, resulting in increased employer contributions to the Maine State Retirement System for this group of members. There are 5 detectives funded by the General Fund and 6 from other sources including federal funds. |
