Increasing the
mileage reimbursement paid to jurors from 15 cents a mile to 50 cents a mile
will require a General Fund appropriation to the Judicial Department of
$223,500 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $298,667 in fiscal year 2008-09. This bill will also make it necessary to
call more jurors for each term, increasing expenditures for juror
service. It is not possible at this
time to specifically identify the additional costs associated with this
proposal. |
