| This legislation will require solid waste disposal and incineration facilities to have in place host community agreements and directs the Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection to establish a mediation process to hear and review disputes concerning host community agreements. It also requires the Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection to act as the final arbiter in the event that mediation fails to resolve a dispute. Implementation of this legislation could require significant staff time for the Department of Environmental Protection in an amount that can not be determined at this time. | ||||||
