The
bill specifies that an independent evaluation of recent reforms in programs
and services for children in the Department of Health and Human Services'
care be completed within existing resources.
The department believes it has recently completed such an external
evaluation. If the already completed
evaluation does not meet the bill's requirements, the department estimates an
additional independent evaluation would have a one-time cost of approximately
$200,000. The impact of the unfunded
new requirement on existing programs and services cannot be determined. |
