The establishment
of a a tax credit against certain alcohol excise taxes will result in the
loss of an estimated $132,639 and $129,691 in fiscal years 2007-08 and
2008-09, respectively, in budgeted General Fund revenue to be collected by
the Department of Public Safety. In
addition, the General Fund revenue loss associated with the tax incentives
for certain malt liquor brewers is estimated to be $44,585 in fiscal year
2008-09. Additional costs to the
Department of Economic and Community Development can be absorbed within
existing budgeted resources. |
