|
The municipalities
administer the General Assistance program and the Department of Health and
Human Services reimburses 50% of the direct cost. If a municipality reaches it's threshold,
which is .0003% of it's tax value, the reimbursement is 90%. If siblings are removed from the list of
relatives who are responsible for burial or cremation costs and the municipal
cost goes up for these activities state reimbursement costs will go up as
well. The amount of increased
reimbursement by the state can not be predicted. |
