The Safety
Education and Training program within the Department of Labor will require
Other Special Revenue Funds deallocations of $625,000 in fiscal year 2007-08
and $650,000 in fiscal year 2008-09 associated with eliminating 8 positions
and related all other due to the anticipated reduction in revenue from
assessments resulting from the exemption of insurers that are certified as
meeting or exceeding the standards for approval of workplace health and
safety consultations from the annual assessment. |
|
The Bureau of
Insurance in the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation will
require a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $60,000 in
2007-08 for the costs of contracting with a third-party consultant to provide
professional expertise in the development of standards for approval of
workplace health and safety consultations provided to employers by insurance
carriers and to develop the process by which the insurers will be certified
as meeting these standards. These
additional costs can be funded within existing resources of the bureau. |
