Fiscal Detail and Notes
	This bill includes General Fund appropriations totaling $206,500 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $212,695 in fiscal year 2008-09 for the Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired within the Department of Labor.  Of these amounts, $57,500 and $59,225 are provided in fiscal years 2007-08 and 2008-09, respectively, to increase salaries for teachers of the blind and visually impaired; $130,000 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $133,900 in fiscal year 2008-09 are provided to fund 2 additional teacher positions for blind and visually impaired children; and $19,000 and $19,570 are provided in fiscal years 2007-08 and 2008-09, respectively, for the purchase and updating of assistive technology and for providing the necessary training for the teachers of blind and visually impaired children.
