All state-owned
buildings already use electricity supplied by renewable resources. Requiring the same in state-leased
buildings may result in undetermined future biennium cost increases to
require landlords to make major investments or to move state offices to other
facilities. It is currently unknown
which leased facilities use renewable energy.
The additional costs associated with developing a plan related to
renewable resources can be absorbed by the State Planning Office utilizing
existing budgeted resources. |
