The Maine Clean
Election Fund , administered by the Commission on Governmental Ethics and
Election Practices, will require additional Other Special Revenue Funds
allocations of $190,000 in each of fiscal years 2008-09 and 2010-11 for the
costs of financing legislative leadership elections; this estimate assumes no
more than 2 candidates for each post.
The Maine Clean Election Fund is projected to have adequate budgeted
resources for the additional costs in fiscal year 2008-09 but not in fiscal
year 2010-11. In the event that the fund does not have adequate resources to
fund the additional costs in fiscal year 2010-11, a General Fund
appropriation will be required to fund these additional costs for that fiscal
year. |
