The Department of
Health and Human Services will require additional General Fund appropriations
to perform the required assessments and support the additional service costs
that will result from a moratorium on the elimination of children's mental
health services. The exact amount
required can not be determined at this time.
The governor's proposed budget for the 2008-2009 biennium, LD 499,
includes several proposals that effect children's mental health
services. This estimate of fiscal
impact may need to be revisited based on the final legislative actions on LD
499. |
