The
Administration - Workers' Compensation Board will require additional Other
Special Revenue Funds allocations of $68,735 in fiscal year 2007-08 and
$89,234 in fiscal year 2008-07 for one Workers' Compensation Specialist
position and related all other to perform the required investigations
effective October 1, 2007. |
|
This
legislation requires that dedicated revenues collected from employers who are
assessed a penalty for failure to provide workers' compensation insurance
coverage be redirected from the Employment Rehabilitation Fund to the
Workers' Compensation Board Administrative Fund. The Workers' Compensation Board estimates
that approximately $210,000 will be shifted from the Employment
Rehabilitation Fund to the Workers' Compensation Board Administrative Fund
per year. |
|
The Workers'
Compensation Board Administrative Fund may also receive additional dedicated
revenue from fines assessed on
employers that fail to post the required notice. The amount of additional revenue can not be
determined at this time. |
