| The requirement that a superintendent notify all parents and guardians of students enrolled in the same school as an adjudicated juvenile whose crime, if committed by an adult, would be gross sexual assault represents a state mandate pursuant to the Constitution of Maine. The cost to individual school units will depend on the number of adjudicated juveniles and the type of notice required.
