Fiscal Detail and Notes
Extending the school year by 10 days is estimated to increase the total cost of K-12 public education by $50,000,00 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $51,600,000 in fiscal year 2008-09.  The General Purpose Aid for Local Schools program will require additional General Fund appropriations of $24,498,000 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $28,380,000 in fiscal year 2008-09 for the State's share.  The cost to school administrative units for the local share is estimated to be $20,502,000 in fiscal year 2007-08 and $23,220,000 in fiscal year 2008-09.
