and Notes |

|
|
|
Eliminating
certification and authorization fees for teachers and other school personnel
will reduce General Fund revenue by $1,032,500 per year beginning in fiscal
year 2007-08. |
|
The Governor's
recommended budget for the 2008-2009 biennium proposes to establish 2 Office
Assistant II positions in the Support Systems program within the Department
of Education to provide additional assistance in the Certification Office. The Governor's budget assumes the two
positions will generate an additional $108,840 and $112,388 in General Fund
revenue in fiscal years 2007-08 and 2008-09, respectively. The Governor proposed to use the additional
revenue to fund the positions.
Additional General Fund appropriations will be required to support the
two positions if both the Governor's budget request for the positions and
this legislation are approved. |
