Fiscal Detail and Notes
Increasing membership for the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians and the state will result in additional tribal revenue to the Maine Indian Tribal State Commission.  It is anticipated that the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians will contribute $11,900 annually as tribal revenue once they are officially added to the Maine Indian Tribal State Commission.  Included in the Governor's biennial budget, LD 499, is continued funding of $34,277 for fiscal years 2007-08 and 2008-09 for the Maine Indian Tribal State Commission.  The commission will incur some additional costs to service the four new additional members, including their per diem and travel expenses.
