This concept
draft proposes that funding for charter programs be determined in the same
manner as funding for other educational programs in the school administrative
unit. Creating a charter school
program within a local school administrative unit will increase the total
state and local cost of K-12 public education. Additional General Fund appropriations will
be required to fund the additional state share. The amount can not be determined at this
time and will depend on the number of charter school programs created. |
