Class B, C and D crimes; increases correctional and judicial costs. The collection of additional fines may also increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts. |

Beginning in fiscal year 2007-08, this bill includes on-going General Fund appropriations of $100,000 to the Department of Public Safety for the purposes of detecting whether sex offenders are accessing websites likely to be frequented by minors. The appropriation section in the bill should be amended to properly identify the Computer Crimes program within the Department of Public Safety. |
