Amend the bill in section 1 in §1645 in subsection 1 in paragraph C in the first line (page 1, line 15 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " scientific review of peer-reviewed medical literature and studies for" and inserting the following: ' summary or bibliography of peer-reviewed medical literature and studies related to the medical management and'

Amend the bill in section 1 in §1645 in subsection 1 by striking out all of paragraph F (page 1, lines 25 to 26 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

‘ F.  A summary of the laws of other states enacted during the last year related to the diagnosis, treatment and insurance coverage for Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses based on resources made available by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or other organizations.’

This amendment is the majority report of the committee. The amendment clarifies the required information in the annual report to be submitted by the Department of Health and Human Services, Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
