Resolve, To Direct the Department of Health and Human Services To Establish a Physician Specialist Program
Sec. 1. Program for Maine physicians. Resolved: That in order to increase the number of physicians who are practicing specialized medicine in Maine, the Department of Health and Human Services shall establish a program by rule to facilitate the process by which general care physicians further their education. In establishing the program, the department shall work with the Board of Licensure in Medicine to evaluate the needs of this program and the department shall consult with appropriate federal agencies to assist in establishment of financial aid packages for this program. Rules established pursuant to this resolve are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.
