Resolve, To Prepare for any Statewide or Regional Emergency

Sec. 1. Preparation for emergency. Resolved: That the Director of the Maine Emergency Management Agency within the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management shall develop a plan to implement statewide and regional preparedness drills for any statewide or regional emergency, including, but not limited to, a nuclear attack. The director shall report regarding the implementation of the plan and identify any policy or legislative changes that may be necessary to the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety no later than November 1, 2007.
