Amend the amendment in section 2 by striking out all of the first paragraph (page 1, lines 31 and 32 and page 2, lines 1 to 6 in amendment) and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 2. Presentation of the comprehensive land use plan for areas within the jurisdiction of the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission. At least 30 days prior to a scheduled vote by the commission on final adoption, but in no case later than December 3, 2007, the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission shall submit to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry the most recent draft of the tentative comprehensive land use plan developed pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 12, section 685-C, subsection 1. In addition to the draft plan, the commission shall provide an accompanying report that includes:’

This amendment clarifies the original intent of Committee Amendment "A." Under Committee Amendment "A," the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission is required to hold public hearings to collect information to be used to establish the land use plan. This amendment clarifies the process and timing of the presentation of the comprehensive land use plan developed by the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. It requires the commission to present the final draft to the committee at least 30 days prior to a scheduled vote by the commission on adoption of the plan. If the final draft is not completed before December 3, 2007, the commission must present the most recent revision of the plan to the committee by that date.
