Amend the bill in section 2 in subsection 7 by striking out all of paragraphs D and E (page 1, lines 19 to 22 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

‘ D.  Is the sole partner of the employee and expects to remain so;
E.  Is not a sibling of the employee; and
F.  Is jointly responsible with the employee for each other's common welfare as evidenced by joint living arrangements, joint financial arrangements or joint ownership of real or personal property.’

This amendment adds to the definition of "domestic partner" by excluding a sibling of an employee from the definition.
