summary
This bill provides authority for the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of General Services to conduct property transactions as necessary for the implementation of the statewide radio and network system, pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, section 1520. This bill remedies an apparent oversight in the statute, which requires that the radio and network system be established and provides a funding mechanism, but does not provide the necessary real property transaction authority.
