An Act To Extend the Right To Vote by Absentee Ballot at an Annual Town Meeting
Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §2529, first ¶, as enacted by PL 1987, c. 737, Pt. A, §2 and Pt. C, §106 and amended by PL 1989, c. 6; c. 9, §2; and c. 104, Pt. C, §§8 and 10, is further amended to read:
If a town has accepted section 2528, absentee ballots may be cast at all regular and special elections to which section 2528 applies, including elections for town meeting members where the representative town meeting form of government is used. A voter in a town, whether the town has accepted section 2528 or not, may vote on warrant articles at a town meeting by absentee ballot if the voter for any reason is unable to attend the town meeting.
