An Act To Ensure That Publicly Funded Programs Do Not Jeopardize Existing Industry
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §1522 is enacted to read:
§ 1522. Collaboration with private industry
A program of a nonprofit organization, governmental agency or political subdivision or educational institution that receives funds from a bond issue intended to strengthen the economy and industry of the State shall endeavor to work collaboratively with private industry efforts so as not to jeopardize an existing private industry job.
