Resolve, To Address Issues Concerning the Employment of Senior Citizens
Sec. 1. Preparing for the aging of the population. Resolved: That the Commissioner of Labor shall create a stakeholder group to review and make recommendations to address barriers to employment that senior citizens face and how to promote best practices in employing senior citizens, to review benefit reductions for working senior citizens and to suggest a public education campaign to promote the value of employing senior citizens; and be it further
Sec. 2. Blaine House conference. Resolved: That the stakeholder group shall refer to the results of the Blaine House Conference on Aging for guidance in its review under section 1; and be it further
Sec. 3. Group report. Resolved: That the stakeholder group convened pursuant to section 1 shall submit a report on its findings to the Joint Standing Committee on Labor to the Second Regular Session of the 123rd Legislature.
