Bill Tracking Chamber Status

Amend the bill by striking out all of sections 1 and 2 and inserting the following:

‘Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §1760, sub-§8, ¶D,  as enacted by PL 2007, c. 240, Pt. WWWW, §2, is amended to read:

D. Diesel internal combustion engine fuel bought and used from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 for the purpose of operating or propelling a commercial groundfishing boat.’

SUMMARY

This amendment is being presented on behalf of the Committee on Bills in the Second Reading to prevent a conflict by removing the section that enacted the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 36, section 1752, subsection 1-H and amending section 1760, subsection 8, paragraph D to reflect the enactment of that subsection and paragraph by Public Law 2007, chapter 240, Part WWWW, sections 1 and 2.
