Resolve, To Clarify the Definition of Smart Growth

Sec. 1. Smart growth definition. Resolved: That the Executive Department, State Planning Office shall adopt rules that define smart growth. The definition of smart growth must include the reuse and rehabilitation of existing buildings. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.
