Resolve, To Estimate the Annual Value of Uncollected Bottle Deposits

Sec. 1. Unreimbursed deposit. Resolved: That the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources shall estimate the amount of uncollected bottle deposits that reverts each year to the State. The department shall clarify the current status of the funds by determining where the funds are and by making recommendations for any changes in the way of handling these funds; and be it further

Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources shall report its findings and recommendations to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry no later than October 30, 2007; and be it further

Sec. 3. Authority to submit legislation. Resolved: That the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry is authorized to submit legislation concerning the findings and recommendations under section 2 to the Second Regular Session of the 123rd Legislature.
