Resolve, To Examine Eligibility for MaineCare Long-term Care Services
Sec. 1. Long-term care services. Resolved: That the ombudsman of the long-term care ombudsman program pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, section 5106, subsection 11-C shall examine the eligibility requirements for MaineCare long-term care services; and be it further
Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That the ombudsman of the long-term care ombudsman program shall report to the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services by December 1, 2007 the ombudsman’s findings under section 1 and the ombudsman’s recommendations on the eligibility requirements for MaineCare long-term care services. The Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services may submit legislation on the eligibility requirements for MaineCare long-term care services to the Second Regular Session of the 123rd Legislature.

This resolve directs the ombudsman of the long-term care ombudsman program to examine the eligibility requirements for MaineCare long-term care services and to report back to the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services by December 1, 2007.
